Have you ever been to the circumstances where you perceive your life to be completely useless? Where you neither have good knowledge of science nor of entrepreneurialism or spiritualism and not even of healthy diets and lifestyle. Where you crave for the meaning of life, misery, and many more else for all day long, all night long — restlessness is the new mindest now. If you are in such a vacuous phase of your life, then you are in right place. It has been said that all the great leaders are avid readers. Here are the 7 books to blossom and flourish your life to develop an entrepreneurial view, strong scientific knowledge, and a practical form of religion (meditations) as well.

01: The Greatest Story Ever Told—So Far

Author: Lawrence Maxwell Krauss

Theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss, in this book, has revealed all the current scientific understanding about the creation of the universe. The book beautifully explains how the entire universe could arise from nothing, encompassing particle physics, and Astrophysics — directing them to the world of a hidden reality. The book even illustrated the imagination of the universe in comparison to ours: Wisdoms and learning come from observing the world around us — the reality is not what we think or sense—it’s weird, wild, utterly beautiful, and counterintuitive. We cannot understand that hidden world with intuitions based solely on direct human sensation. There is much more that we can’t see or hear. Just because you can’t see or hear something does mean that they don’t exist.

02: The 4 – Hour Workweek

Author: Timothy Ferriss

Timothy Ferriss is an American entrepreneur, investor, author, and podcaster. This is the self-help book supporting the notion — craving for meaningful work and meaningful time is far better than craving for a meaningful life. The book generally deals with mastering the art of utilization/earning of precious time and effort and income, in essence, the New rich. The book is all about the traditional concept of work/rich versus the modern concept of work/rich. What we call rich is not only subjected to a six-digit salary figure and even nothing to do with emotional well-being. One needs to be aware of his dreams and goals with targeted time, provided that the review your dreamlining goals with time being the most valuable asset. Figure out the tasks that could be performed by someone else or by technology. Work expands, and so must be with time, but the breakthrough is outsourcing: relative income rather than absolute income. Here the author shapes the effectiveness of planning, implementation, and accomplishment via arranging/re-engineering the puzzles between the time, liberty, and guts to venture. Take ‘mini-retirements’ throughout your whole life instead of planning to retire at the age of 60 or so. This means that after every 5 years take some months off to go on a big adventure, without worrying about works. The source of the immense output is 20% of the input, the 80/20 principle. 20% of your efforts/stress yield 80% of your results/problems. You can save a lot of time by focusing where it matters, on the 20%. The book asks to replicate the strong areas rather than fixing all your weaknesses.

03: Benjamin Franklin: An American Life

Author: Walter Isaacson

Walter Isaacson is an American author, professor, and journalist. This book has been under the recommendation by Elon Musk several times. The book portrays the biography of one of the founding fathers and a true citizen of the united states, who also was a writer, political philosopher, politician, printer, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat — Benjamin Franklin. He is the hero of Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, and many other significant figures throughout history. The book is recommended to uplift your entrepreneurial spirit and persistence. Franklin contributed to every field he was engaged in. The book clarifies the importance of yourself, You and only you is the game-changer. Everybody makes the plans, but a plan without implementation exemplifies the meaning of how to plan to fail miserably.

04: Galileo and the Science Deniers

Author: Mario Livio

Mario Livio is an Israeli-American astrophysicist. Galileo Galilei needs no introduction. He was an Italian astronomer, physicist, and engineer. He revolutionized the world of physics through his numerous discoveries. The book is about the life and work of Galileo Galilei, in the sense of how he challenged the world dominated by catholic churches and the Science deniers. Galileo was against the catholic church — the Sun moves around the Earth but the heavenly bodies themselves rotate around the Sun. Even in a time of insufficient technological advancements and fundings, Galileo managed to reveal the secret of our cosmos that was both exciting and out of dogmas and doctrines. Galileo was intelligent enough to realize that science and religion work differently. Science runs on hypothesis, facts, laws, observation, proof, and experiments, and others. Meanwhile, religion focuses on certain sets of beliefs and practices, more like the outdated and failed Science. The purpose of religion is to figure out how to go to Heaven. But the purpose of Science is to figure out the laws governing heaven, in essence, how the heavens go. Sometimes, we need to look back in order to move forward. The book covers a wide range of topics like the denial of climate change and the clash between evolution and creationist theories. Some people still don’t believe in evolution. How convincing is the evolution theory? Scroll down a bit to get a book fixated on evolution, book number 05.

Flat Earth theory is wrong but not stupid. Is the Earth actually flat?

05: The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution

Author: Richard Dawkins

Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist and author. It’s quite absurd that people don’t believe in evolution but believe in creationists. The primary concern is that most people lack the knowledge of evolution. The big bang and evolution are perhaps highly misunderstood theories to date. The most common misunderstanding is that the Human race has come from monkeys. The evolution theory rather suggests that we share common ancestors with monkeys. You are the product of million years of evolution. This can be the reason that we didn’t find any Extraterrestrial life out in space, in essence, complex life doesn’t form all of a sudden but of millions and millions of years of evolution.

“You believe that all humanity came from Adam and Eve, and humans have not evolved at all since. So tell me; between the two of them, which was black, which was white, and which was Asian?”

Richard Dawkins

How did all those gene variations come into existence if humans never evolved? You can have your DNA test in a lab and that can immediately tell you what percentage of your genes reflect the true identity of our country’s ancestors.

06: How Not to Die

Author: Michael Greger

Michael Herschel Greger is an American physician, author, and professional speaker on health issues. The brain governs the body. The brain needs fuel, in essence, foods. Millions of people nowadays die from chronic diseases. Here the author describes how most death rates can be abated just by adopting healthy lifestyles. Not so fast! It is the quality of food that counts. Every food offers you calories though some just increase cholesterol, while others turn out to beneficial. The book takes you to the deep insights behind how ordinary foods contain antioxidant properties that can defy diseases like cancer, heart attack, blood pressure, Gastrointestinal diseases, and many more. The book even provides answers to some of the longest standing dilemmas; vegetarian versus non-vegetarian, industrial food products versus self farming (organic), sanitation versus infections, tea is good or not, amount of water needed within a day versus amount of fruit juice, etc. He points out how eating healthier is easier and affordable than we think and might even save our life. Medicines are good but are not recommended to consume for every other ordinary health Problem like a headache. If some diseases can be cured through proper sleep or rest or hygiene, then you better not inhale drugs. Yeah, medicines are like drugs. Once your brain is familiar with irregular phenomena of hormone secretion, it demands more and more — you will be a slave to medicines without your knowledge.

The brain is not still, more specifically unwavering thoughts/contemplation is an impossible art these days. Mind handles thousands and thousands of decisions making tasks. The attention span of humans is getting low. Several neuroscientific studies show that Mindfulness improves brain waves and thoughts per minute. Magical stories may not heal your mental trauma but meditations can. In some countries, the prisoners are taught to practice mindfulness. Doctors recommend mindfulness for patients dealing with depression, or any other sort of mental diseases. Here the author additionally provides us the mindfulness with its roots and ancient disciplines and disciples.
