A humanoid inside a matrix full of computers.

Simulation theory a.k.a matrix theory is a modern hypothesis that describes that we are in a computer simulation of pretty advanced digital architecture and being governed by some higher civilization or intelligence. This may sound like modern terminology, but it has got ancient roots.

Before heading to Simulation cum matrix theory, let us first get through brief knowledge about the formation of our universe.

The Big Bang

Big bang theory deals with how our universe came into existence. Generally, it explains the term expanding universe hypothesis — reflecting the universe at the very beginning of time. In 1920, Edwin Hubble studied outside of the milky way galaxy through a huge telescope and found numerous other galaxies like the Andromeda galaxy. Meanwhile, he observed that our universe is expanding rather than being motionless and thereby the concept of big bang theory was coined. If the universe was expanding, then there would be a time when everything was still and in a single incomprehensible tiny ball of infinitely small volume, infinite density, and temperature.

The expansion took place in a tiny ball, resulting in a huge expansion of it. And the aftermath of that expansion formed our matter, antimatter, stars, planets, space, time, and everything else. Recapitulating all these, then our entire universe is the result of the big bang. Before the big bang, there was no concept of space and time. What existed before time! When there was no time, how could one use the word before or after? Big bang theory may sound absurd but is the most acceptable theory in detailing the origin or rather evolution of the universe in the Scientific community.

Lawrence Maxwell Krauss

Lawrence Maxwell Krauss (American- Canadian theoretical physicist and cosmologist): Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand, probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics. You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if the stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements – the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution – weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnace of the stars, and the only way they could get in your body is as if those stars were kind enough to explode. So forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today.

The matrix/Simulation theory has been widely accepted by countless scientists, psychologists, philosophers, and entrepreneurs like Elon Musk. Reality is not what we see on a physical plane. Optical illusion and audio illusion have always made a remarkable contribution to questioning reality. How by just stimulating certain brain nerves greatly affect reality.

Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real.

Neils Bohr

Let us dive into the world of Matrix / Simulation.

01: Atoms / Pixels:

pixels shown in an image

Wikipedia defines pixel as “the smallest controllable element of a picture represented on the screen”. If you look really closely on your smartphone or computer or tablet by the magnifying glass or anything else, then you can actually see your screen is made up of tiny dots (Square) of color (light). Likewise, everything around us is made up of atoms. No matter whether it’s you, me, stars, or else.

You have been familiar with a tremendous amount of water in the seas and oceans, but the fascinating thing is that on an atomic level they are just water molecules (‎H2O) which are made up of two atoms of hydrogen and a single atom of oxygen, where the ratio of hydrogen and oxygen is 1:8. Similarly, in the digital world, there are only three colors (Red, Blue, and green). The ratio of these colors forms countless images and videos.

In case you want to relate it to quantum mechanics, then those pixels we see on our smartphone are actually made up of multiple tiny dots of different colors. That’s what string theory is relatable to. According to string theory, tiny string-like particles give rise to atoms as multiple tiny dots give a rise to the pixel.

Pixels combinations create images and videos. Atomic combinations create everything around us in our spaces and ultimately form a matrix.

02: Vibration:

Nikola Tesla once said, “If you want to know this universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration”. Every atom and molecule in our body are vibrating from its mean position with certain frequencies. Inside your HD television, there are no beautiful sceneries, neither your favorite actors nor actresses. They are just electron carrying volts vibrating with certain frequencies. That’s why as long as you use them, heat will be evolved.

The phenomenon is quite similar to everything around us like in a human body. Right now your body is vibrating with a range of living body frequencies, resulting in the heat evolving from your body. Dead bodies always remain cold-like unused good functioning smartphones and electronic devices do. The warmth inside you is proof that you are alive. This universe doesn’t speak linguistics, it speaks frequencies- like a computer speaks binaries.

Relating it to quantum mechanics, then string theory is once again considered here and can be related to a matrix, as well. Just by vibrating six chords of a guitar, countless serene kinds of music are heard in every walks of life. In the very same manner, string particles vibrating with certain frequencies may show up with one particle, while the change in frequency may come up with another particle.

03: Law Of Attraction:

law of attraction

Albert Einstein once said “Everything is energy and that’s all there to it match the frequency of the wants and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way.  This is not philosophy. This is physics”. Basically, the Law Of Attraction has got so much attention since you can get anything you desire through this law. On an external level, it may seem like repetition, visualization, feelings, and emotions make that thing approach to you and this is even true, but the matter of fact is that these factors facilitate you to match that frequency by the power of your subconscious mind.

The universe is ready to give up all its secrets, you just need to match the frequency or give it a necessary blow. Our computer has already been programmed with so many algorithms and is suitable for countless types of software (games, applications, etc). You may call your mind an operating system, every knowledge, aspiration is already inside, though the terms and conditions are still the same — in order to install it; you need to match the frequency. Sir Issac Newton discovered gravity, which was already inside him. It’s not like the apple was waiting at some corner, so that he could fall right after Newton sat down there.

04: Pauli Exclusion Principle:

pauli exclusion

This principle states that “No two electrons can be in the same state or configuration”. On an atomic level you have never touched anything – never felt any object ever. It sounds pretty wacky, but bear with me. You know, like poles of a magnet repel each other and unlike poles attract. It is similar to everything around us in our universe like as if there is an invisible force between you and everything in spaces.

Electrons revolving around the nucleus in an atom are like planets revolving around the Sun, but that’s not the case. The electrons are in cloud formations inside an atom. When you turn on the fan blades, you will feel as if the blades are everywhere all at once, giving you a sensation like there is no empty space. If you try to stick your hand on fan blades, you will notice that your finger and fan blades can’t be in the same place. The same goes for everything in our universe. Literally, the universe is full of empty spaces as the atom is 99.9999999% empty space. To put it simply, the fishing net is also 99.99% holes, however, fishes can not escape it. Are we living in the matrix of a giant net? This could be a matrix or this could be some supernatural phenomena, which science can’t explain.

05: Constant mathematical laws:

Nikola Tesla once said, “If you only knew the magnificence of 3, 6, and 9 you will have the key to this universe”. Take a look at the images below.

• The speed of light is always constant.
• Nothing with mass can surpass the speed of light.
• We were in our mother’s womb (Fetal development) for 9 months.
• The distance between earth and sun is 150 million kilometers (1+5=6), which is quite the perfect distance through which our earth receives the proper amount of sunlight in every part of the globe.

The philosophy of the universe is mathematics.

Galileo Galilei

Maths is the language of the universe since we are living in the regular universe. Are these numbers the code of our Simulation? If something is constant, we need not to check time after time, but it’s not the case with something that varies (If varies, then there will be a lot of bugs and errors). The simulation we are living in may have limited capacity. Like in the computer, RAM determines the capacity and performance of the computer. According to the Theory Of Relativity, If anything can travel nearer to the speed of light, one may experience time travel. This Simulation can’t hold this much, and maybe time travel is just a glitch of this Simulation.

06: Observation and Reality:

Our reality may be actually a detailed Simulation. We can program video games with every principle that our universe follows – gravity, breathing, blood, wind, sun, moon, sky, and much more else. In video games, only that portion of the world exists which we are able to observe. It is quite comparable to the Double Slit Experiment.

In this experiment, when electrons are fired in two slits, they show particle nature. But when they are observed through the observer, they show the wave nature (interference pattern) as if the electron knew that someone is observing them and they changed themselves to wave. This experiment has been performed a plethora of times, but the result is always the same. This signifies the observation can affect reality, and this was even believed by Albert Einstein. The same goes for our video games.

Our Simulation maybe just an experiment by a pretty unprofessional simulator, who is quite unaware of this anomaly and bug. Once it comes into the knowledge of a professional simulator, then the software may be updated, resulting in no more bugs and glitches. There could be billions of computers, too. Each computer could be a separate universe with variable principles, performance, and capacity. Maybe what we call multiverse are just these computers. In that billionths simulation, they are unaware of the simulation, we are living in. They have stopped paying attention to our Simulation because of glitches in ours. Who knows?  The probabilities are infinitesimal. Are we really living in a gigantic matrix?
